FAQ
Everything you might wonder
Questions we hear often about handmade pieces, caring for them, and shipping them around the world. Can't find yours? Write to us directly.
Why does my piece differ slightly from the photo?
Because it was made by hand, not by mould. Every piece is thrown, painted and fired individually, and the fire behaves with a different temper in every firing — so the colour lands a touch deeper or lighter, and the ripple falls where it will never fall again. These differences are not a flaw we apologise for; they are the proof that your piece has no twin.
Are the pieces food safe?
Yes — every piece marked food safe is glazed with lead-free, cadmium-free recipes and fired to 1,240°C until the surface fully vitrifies. Each product page states clearly whether the piece is food safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe.
How do I care for my piece?
High-fired ceramic is sturdy, but gentleness makes it last: wash by hand with warm water and mild soap, avoid thermal shock (never move a piece from the fridge straight into a hot oven), and don't stack pieces without padding. Pieces marked dishwasher safe can take the machine — but hand washing keeps them beautiful for longer.
How long does shipping take?
Within Oman: two to four working days. GCC countries: three to seven working days. The rest of the world: seven to twenty-one days depending on destination and customs. If your piece is made to order, the making time shown on its product page comes first — we email you a tracking number the moment the parcel leaves.
Do you take custom orders?
We love a beautiful challenge: a dinner set in a specific colour, a wedding gift with an inscribed name, or a matcha bowl in a particular size. Send your idea through the contact page and we will tell you honestly whether it is possible, and quote time and cost before any commitment. Custom orders usually take three to six weeks.
What is your returns policy?
If your piece arrives broken — which we wrap in many layers to prevent — photograph it inside its packaging and write to us within 48 hours of delivery; we will replace it or refund you in full. Natural variations in colour and texture are part of a handmade piece's identity and don't count as defects. And because many of our pieces are one of a kind or made to order, we can't accept change-of-mind returns — every piece is inspected one by one before it ships.
